The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been disappointed with the form of Mesut Ozil this season…
The German has been far and away from his best this season, with important games often passing him by. Indeed, the same can be said for many of his teammates, as reflected by Arsenal’s current league position – but Ozil’s form, in particular, has been very disappointing to see.
However, it would appear as though the German is turning a corner. He has been slowly improving his form over the last couple of weeks, and his display against Sunderland was his best in months.
Indeed, the stats certainly back up the notion that he had a good one, too, with Who Scored noting on Twitter that the 12 key passes that Ozil made during the game is more than any other Premier League player in a single game in the last EIGHT years.
See that Tweet below…

The frustrating thing for the Gunners here is that it appears as though Ozil has finally turned on the style at the end of the season.
Our landlord thinks that if Ozil had started playing this well at the start of the season, perhaps the Gunners wouldn’t be in such a poor state.
