Newcastle United find themselves in a spot of bother after a very disappointing start to proceedings, with relegation being a slight worry even at this early stage.
The Magpies drafted in a number of players during the summer transfer window, but things haven’t gone to plan thus far as improvements are needed. Indeed, Rafa Benitez will be frustrated with how his side have performed up to this point as they currently find themselves in the relegation places.
However, the Newcastle United boss will need to think about the futures of a couple of his players after a rather busy summer transfer window, with competition for places beginning to hot up.
So, here’s a look at TWO men that should never feature for Newcastle United again…
Isaac Hayden has been stagnating behind the scenes and feeding of scraps in seasons gone by and nothing appears to have changed in the current campaign. Indeed, the former Arsenal midfielder was brought on as a substitute against Cardiff City recently, but he put on a horror display and hasn’t been considered since.
Therefore, with the 23-year-old only being used as a last resort by Rafa Benitez, it looks as if he will be frozen out of the side and offloaded during the summer transfer window.
The Spaniard has been questioned right the way through his Premier League career and there has been very little improvement in the current campaign. Indeed, the full-back is sloppy in possession and often gets highlighted as a weak point by the opposition, with his defensive side of the game being very questionable.
So, the 24-year-old may be living on borrowed time at St James’ Park with Benitez now realising his error to keep him at the club this summer.
