There are disappointed faces here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed by caught offside that a host of Premier League clubs could be set to miss out on Isco.
The Malaga star has been hitting the headlines for all the right reasons this season and due to the financial difficulties at Malaga, not to mention the fact that the club will be banned from the Champions League despite potentially qualifying for it, Isco is looking for a move.
The sticking point comes with the current three year deal and the release clause which is upwards of £35million for the player, meaning that it will not only cost in terms of a big money contract for the creative player but also with the transfer fee.
Now it seems that Arsenal and Manchester City could well be set to miss out as Monaco swoop in for the 21-year-old. With a Russian billionaire owner and plans to lure the hottest talent in Europe including Spurs target Joao Moutinho, Monaco are not messing about and are determined to land their man.
