Chelsea fan’s here in the Football Transfer Tavern have never quite taken to this midfield star since his arrival at Stamford Bridge 18 months ago; and now he looks set for a last minute exit this summer…
Jose Mourinho brought in some of Europe’s biggest stars during his two spells at the helm of Chelsea, but Juan Cuadrado certainly wasn’t one of his scouting highlights.
The Columbian has had a tough time of it since joining The Blues; he made a couple of disappointing appearances following a £27 million move from Fiorentina, and was subsequently loaned out to Juventus for the 2015/16 season, where he impressed.
He was brought back into the first team fold by Antonio Conte this summer, but now it looks like his Chelsea return will be over even faster than it ended the first time round.
According to Di Marzio, Juventus are readying yet another loan offer for Cuadrado, this time with a fee between €3-4 million, rather than the €1 million involved the first time around.
He adds that Cuadrado is considering his options at Stamford Bridge, with a return to Italy likely to be the preferred outcome for the Columbian attacker.
Another loan certainly wouldn’t be the best deal for The Blues, with the club’s loan army growing larger by the day- but it may be the only available option.
