It’s been a good transfer window for Leicester City and manager Craig Shakespeare, who has added some real quality to his ranks over the past few weeks.
The Englishman, who took over from Claudio Ranieri last season, has already brought in the likes of Iheanacho and Maguire and having kept hold of his other key players, things are looking for Leicester moving forward.
But there’s one man on their books that is repeatedly being linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium and that’s Riyad Mahrez.
The Algerian international is keen to leave the Premier League champions after their stuttering campaign last season and is keen on a switch to Serie A giants Roma.
But according to Italian outlet ForzaRoma, manager Eusebio Di Francesco won’t hesitate in looking elsewhere if Leicester refuse to budge on their £40million valuation.
They’ve reportedly got their eye on AC Milan winger Suso, who enjoyed a cracking campaign last season and former Chelsea man Juan Cuadrado, now on the books at Juventus.
The Foxes fans lining the bar here in the pub would love to see Mahrez stay but there’s a pocket of drinkers that are worried he might bring a sense of ill-feeling back to the club when the Premier league season kicks off next weekend.
Mahrez was a stunning player during the title-winning season but ever-since, he’s gone off the boil a bit.
It’s clear he wants a big move and you can’t blame him but what Shakespeare cannot risk is one player ruining the feeling in the entire squad.
Sometimes it’s just better to part ways.
Leicester fans- would you like to see Mahrez stay or is it time for the Algerian to move on? Leave your thoughts down below!
