Brazilian starlet Philippe Coutinho is reportedly losing patience with current boss Claudio Ranieri and according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport, Liverpool are interested in signing the youngster on loan from Inter Milan.
Coutinho was growing in stature under former boss Rafael Benitez who utilised the 19-year-old very early on. Under Benitez, Coutinho was seen in hindsight as the future of Inter Milan. The talented youngster was an exciting prospect, but has failed to shine since Benitez has left. Since the sacking of Benitez in December, Coutinho has seen his career fade away after losing his first team place. The 19-year-old has only started twice for the Nerazzurri since Benitez has left.
This has led to speculation that the 19-year-old whizz-kid could leave the San Siro come January with a host of European clubs vying for his signature.
The newspaper also reports that former St Etienne director of football Damien Comolli, now of Liverpool regards the midfielder very highly having tried to sign the attacking midfielder during his spell with St Etienne. Comoli is a fan of Coutinho and will want to try his luck again as he believes he will be more successful in luring him to Anfield as it is a more attractive prospect. It is unlikely that Inter will want to sell the bright youngster but could allow him to go on loan to gain more experience.
