Goal .com have unearthed an unamed source who’s comments on a prospective transfer at Eastlands make intersting reading…
Carlos Tevez has been perpetually swathed in mystery since he arrived on these shores and it would be naive to believe that the quiet life of a journeyman footballer was going to happen for him anytime soon.
This time it is Inter Milan who are the next prospective employers of the Argentinian superstar.
“I think Inter will be prepared to open dialogue for anything up to €25m. It’s not just a rumour, it’s more than that.”
“If he leaves City and comes to Serie A, Inter are the first in line. They are the favourites to get him in Italy.”
“[The transfer] depends on the coaching situation at Inter – Leonardo will not be confirmed as coach: this appears almost certain. Moratti wants to give him a director’s role at the club like he had at Milan.
“Inter are already looking for a very top coach to come in. So Tevez to Inter depends on who the new man will be and what players he wants. It is a possible transfer market move, but it depends on who the new coach will be.”
Lots of ‘ifs’ there I guess, but then all it takes for a massive deal to suddenly kick in is a change in personel and Bob’s your mother’s brother. The real hole in the story is the suggested fee. €25M is nowhere near the right money. €3M more than Lescott? Please…
