Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern don’t have a clue what will happen to their transfer flop as the latest rumour from talkSPORT suggests that Sampdoria are considering a loan move for Mario Balotelli.
The Italian striker has had a tough season at Anfield, whilst struggling to perfrom on the pitch, he has been targeted by the media off of it.
Brendan Rodgers gambled on the former Manchester City striker and bought him from AC Milan for £16m.
The Reds are looking to put last season behind them and punters believe the best way of doing this is to clear out the deadwood.
And with Sampdoria interested in the 24-year-old, it is a good chance for Rodgers to offload him back to Italy.
But Balotelli is supposedly on £4m-a-year and this a stumbling block because there is no way Sampdoria could afford these wages, although they are hoping that Liverpool could pay half of his wages whilst he is out on loan to the Serie A side.
