The future of Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez is once again up for discussion inside the Football Transfer Tavern, with sources at Fox Sports ruling out a possible destination for the Argentine striker.
Tevez is expected to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer, and has been linked with numerous top sides across Europe, including Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus.
However, the Rossoneri appear to have ruled themselves out of the race to sign him, with club president Adriano Galliani insisting he has no plans to bid for the former West Ham United and Manchester United forward.
Galliani is admanent the club will have to sell players before they can buy, and even doing so would not leave enough to make a bid for the Argentine, and reunite him with former City team-mate Mario Balotelli.
“Tevez is not a transfer target for us,” said Galliani.
“Before we will try to bring in new players, we will have to sell some of our own players first.
“It’s not a financial problem, but has to do with the amount of attackers we already have. At the moment, we already have seven players for just three positions.
“Our big transfer coup came in January when we signed Mario Balotelli from City. We will see if anything else happens.”
