‘It’s £43m If You Want Him’ – President Finally Gives His Young Star A Price Tag

One of Europe’s most talked about and sought after young talents has finally had his valuation set – if anyone has a spare €50m knocking around, Lille superstar Eden Hazard is available for purchase!

Hefty sum of money isn’t it? Roughly £43m! No doubt Arsene Wenger buckled at the knee’s on hearing the valuation set by Lille President, Michel Seydoux. The Arsenal boss is still heavily linked with a move for the Belgian international after failing to capture him over the summer but Seydoux’s valuation is almost certain to put an end to that.

The President of the Ligue 1 champions is ready to cash in on Hazard as long as he’s left with enough money to rebuild the squad, Talksport have reported.

He said, “The price is €50m and this is clear in advance. We are at a time when the club is having a real discussion about what to do but it will depend on many factors.

“First our economic potential and then it depends on the proposals we receive. Nobody is unsellable. You would be able to look for solutions in the market with the money we’d receive.”

Hazard is contracted with Lille until 2015 but has revealed a desire to leave the French side at the end of the season to seek a new challenge abroad. He told L’Equipe, “I feel ready to make it to the next level at a big club. I stayed in Lille this season because there were things I had to work on, things to prove. But now, I’m ready.”

The 20 year-old has also been linked with Manchester United and Barcelona as well as several other top European clubs. Very few can afford and are willing to part with the quoted sum of money though, and we are all familiar with who they are!
