It’s already obvious that these 2 Newcastle players don’t want to be playing for the club – Agreed?

Any single player in the Newcastle United squad could fall into this category. The club really is rotten from the top-down. Mike Ashley hardly warrants comment, Rafa Benitez is slowly losing the support of fans, and the players are yet to secure a single victory so far this season. It’s a shocking state of affairs.

One has to feel sorry for the fans who turn up week in and week out to watch pure drivel unfold. Entertainment has long since deserted Newcastle who have one of the poorest attacking records in the league (6 goals), and consistency is 100% absent unless you count the team’s efforts to consistently play terribly. What makes things worse is that some players evidently don’t look like they’re bothered.

Here are TWO players we believe don’t look like they want to be playing for the club…

Jamaal Lascelles

The English centre-back isn’t enjoying the finest spell of his career so far this year. Having only managed a grand total of two clean sheets in the league, which predictably ranks amongst the worst in the league, his reputation as a well-rounded and solid defender is slowly falling away.

Unlike the rest of the deadwood in the squad, Mr. Lascelles is a bit of a player. He knows that. In fact, he’s probably weighing up the very strong possibility that, when it comes to it, he’ll have to jump ship for the sake of his career.

Underlying concerns certainly don’t occupy players minds without having some sort of impact. Indeed, we expect that Lascelles’ dip in form has something to do with his thoughts over leaving the club…

Isaac Hayden

It’s no secret that this player wants to move on from Newcastle.

The Mirror reported in the Summer that Isaac Hayden had asked to leave the club earlier this year citing personal circumstances as the main reason. Since then, we can’t imagine his affinity towards Newcastle United has grown any stronger.
