Crystal Palace have made an absolutely miserable start to the Premier League season, with seven consecutive losses and no goals to show for their efforts so far.
Frank De Boer lasted only a month, while new manager Roy Hodgson has struggled to get anything else out of the squad so far. The Eagles looks dead certainties for relegation already, and it looks like it’s going to be a miracle if they stay up now.
Our landlord here in the Tavern though thinks that things can pick up for Palace with a bit of luck and a change of personnel, and one player he thinks should be given a chance is winger Sulley Kaikai.
The 22-year-old has been named on the bench a few times this season following loan spells in previous seasons, and will be chomping at the bit to get his chance in the team.
The winger has bags of ability and pace down either flank, and his trickery is something which is a similar ilk to that of current Palace man Wilf Zaha.
The club are struggling in general at the moment, and it cannot get much worse. Throwing Kaikai into the fold and giving him his chance in the Premier League could be a benefit for the club and the player, who will no doubt play with no fear and have little to lose.
He could well make a difference for the club who are struggling as it is.
Palace fans, what do you think? Give Kaikai a chance? Let us know!
