Alex Iwobi has come in for a lot of criticism from Arsenal fans over the last couple of years. When the Nigerian made his debut he was dynamic and looked quality in the Gunners’ midfield, however, in the last couple of years under Arsene Wenger, the 22-year-old has stagnated. Unai Emery has now come into the club and given Iwobi a new deal, which fans can see on the Arsenal website.

Since Iwobi’s debut back in 2015, the Nigerian winger has made 98 appearances for the club and scored nine goals, a good return for an inconsistent winger who has to cut inside to get his chances. However, Emery will be hoping he can better that tally of nine goals in 98 games as he looks to make an impact on the entire Arsenal squad this season, with Iwobi included.
The Gunners finished 6th in the Premier League last season and for a club of their size, that’s a shocking finish. If their new Spanish gaffer can help in bettering that 6th place finish this time around then the fans will be delighted, however, he faces stiff competition in the form of the Manchester club, their London rivals and Liverpool. Iwobi could end up being a secret weapon in The Gunners hunt for the top four and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the fans getting behind the man they once slated if he can drag them forward.

The social media specialists who knows so much about players quality and their individual talents must be feeling a tad disheartened on hearing this piece of news. Thankfully the club don't listen to their madness and stupidity
Go Iwobi Go.

The Gunners are delighted to see Iwobi has signed a new deal and whilst the Nigerian has been known to divide the fan base, he’ll be hoping he can win them all over this season.
