Stoke City haven’t been able to ensure consistency in the current campaign as they continue to take a step backwards under Gary Rowett.
The Potters would have set their sights on automatic promotion prior to the start of this season, but things haven’t gone to plan as they now chase down a play-off place. And, to make matters worse, it appears as if one of their star men is looking for a move away, as according to Sun Sport, Jack Butland is trying to return to the Premier League.
Jack Butland will use Wayne Rooney’s agency to return to the Premier League.
The England goalkeeper is leaving Beswicks Sports and is poised to join the ranks of Triple S Sports and Entertainment Group, who guided Rooney’s glittering career.
Harry Maguire is also a Triple S client and they oversaw Angus Gunn’s £10 million move to Southampton this summer, so Butland will be hoping to follow in his footsteps.
Jack Butland arguably belongs in the Premier League after a number of consistent seasons in-between the sticks, but he couldn’t help Stoke City’s sinking ship in the last campaign.
However, it appears as if he is making all the moves to force a return to the Premier League by switching agency groups to try and push through a move.
