Newcastle United will be preparing for their Premier League encounter with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday, however, Rafa Benitez may be left sweating on the availability of one of his key men.
According to Ben Dinnery, Jamaal Lascelles appears to have a race against the clock as he looks to be fit for the trip to south London.

The freelance injury data analyst has revealed that the centre-back’s ankle is still causing him some concern after he rolled over it during the warm-up against Arsenal last weekend.
Lascelles did manage to play the whole of the first half before having to be withdrawn from the game, however, he may have further aggravated it and could potentially miss the game against the Eagles.
The defender has already missed parts of this season for the Magpies with a previous injury and, having been a key man for them last year, Benitez will be keen that his star enforcer does not miss much more.
Lascelles race to be fit will be concerning to Benitez and Newcastle as they look to prepare for their match against Crystal Palace.
The Magpies are yet to win a match in the Premier League this season and would have been looking at the game with the Eagles as a great chance to get their first three points of the campaign.
Despite having added Fabian Schar and Federico Fernandez in the summer, Lascelles will have been considered the main man they would want at the back at all times and could be a huge miss on Saturday.
