Liverpool: James Milner will be available for West Brom clash

Liverpool midfielder James Milner will be fit for the Reds’ Boxing Day clash against West Bromwich Albion at Anfield, after he participated in full training this week.
Milner returns
The 34-year-old has been missing from the Reds’ first-team after picking up a hamstring during his side’s 1-1 draw against Brighton.
The Athletic’s James Pearce revealed that Milner was one of three returning players who were involved in today’s session at the AXA Training Centre, including Xherdan Shaqiri and Thiago Alcantara.
Milner is the one most likely to feature against the Baggies, as he has been with the group previously, not recovering separately like Thiago, and he has already participated in full contact training, proving he is fully fit.
The vice-captain has been one of Klopp’s star assets – ever since manager Jurgen Klopp took the position in 2015, scoring 26 goals and providing 41 assists in 228 outings (TransferMarkt).
Transfer Tavern Verdict
This will be a huge boost for Liverpool. Having a player like Milner available to them, who can play in a variety of positions, will be key for the squad moving forward.
Klopp has had headache after headache as far as injuries are concerned during the 2020/21 campaign, and now it looks as if his side are turning a corner with 2021 on the horizon.
This puts them in a healthy position going into Boxing Day, with more points up for grabs and the chance to maintain their position at the top of the standings.
