Javier Hernandez attracting plenty of interest from La Liga duo

Javier Hernandez’s future at West Ham United has come into doubt recently, although his performance on Saturday would not have suggested so.

The Mexico international fired a brace against Newcastle United, adding to the goal he scored against Burnley, as he started the match at St James’ Park, however, he is thought to be unhappy at the London Stadium.

And, according to a report in Italy, it appears as though he has a couple of clubs interested in taking him on.

Calciomercato are claiming that both Real Sociedad and Valencia are thought to be keen on bringing Hernandez to La Liga as they look to solve their own issues up front.

Chicharito wants to play more regularly and it has been widely speculated that he could look to leave the Premier League club in the winter transfer window.

Hernandez arrived at West Ham in the summer of 2017 for a fee of £16million, per Transfermarkt, however, he has failed to make the desired impact the Hammers would have initially liked when Slaven Bilic signed him.

The Verdict:

Despite Hernandez playing a key role for the Hammers at the weekend, his future certainly appears to be doubtful under Manuel Pellegrini.

Chicharito has only featured a handful of times, with the majority of his appearances coming from the substitutes bench, something that the 30-year-old does not want to continue.

It remains to be seen if West Ham will allow the Mexican to leave, although, they could look to wipe his huge wages from the wage bill, which may allow them to bring a new forward to the London Stadium in January.
