Everton will face West Ham following the international break looking to secure their second win under Marco Silva.
The Portuguese tactician has managed just one win from his opening four fixtures after replacing Sam Allardyce in the dugout. The Everton squad are still adapting to his methods, and the former Watford boss has a number of new signings to introduce to the first-team. The Hammers have lost all four of their games meaning Everton will be confident of picking up three points.
Everton will be without Richarlison after he was dismissed for violent conduct against Bournemouth. The Brazilian will be sorely missed following his excellent start to life on Merseyside. While the 21-year-old has been hot in front of goal, Cenk Tosun hasn’t found the net in five games.
To bring the best out of the Turkish international, Everton should try to sign RB Leipzig attacker – Jean-Kevin Augustin – in January. Valued at £18m by Transfermarkt, the 21-year-old joined the German side on a five-year-deal from Paris St Germain last summer and enjoyed a fine debut season in the Bundesliga. Augustin scored nine goals and registered five assists in 25 appearances for his side and has made an excellent start to the new campaign with two goals in two showing so far.
The youngster is comfortable right across the forward line making him a useful option for Silva to have at his disposal. He is blessed with electric pace and expert dribbling ability which makes him a nightmare for defenders. If he continues his rapid development, he could be a massive success in the Premier League.
Leipzig would want a huge for their prized asset, but Everton could use Ademola Lookman as a makeweight to bring Augustin to Merseyside. The Frenchman could be crucial to get Tosun firing on all cylinders.
