Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to have a productive transfer window in January following their failure to land anyone in the summer.
Spurs have had a difficult start to their Premier League campaign, having already seen their side beaten three times and have also lost players at times to injuries.
It remains to be seen if Mauricio Pochettino has the squad capable of mounting a challenge in the competitions that they are currently in, especially with the likes of Barcelona and Inter Milan in the Champions League.
However, Tottenham already appears to have turned their attention to the transfer market as reports in Italy are claiming they have a defender on their radar.
The 22-year-old, who is valued at £1.35million by Transfermarkt, has put in a number of impressive performances for the Serie A outfit and Spurs are already thought to have watched him on a couple of occasions.
Tottenham already have a number of talented options in defence, so it would appear strange that Andersen is being linked with a move.
With the likes of Juan Foyth and Davinson Sanchez still young, it would be difficult to see where the Danish enforcer would fit.
Pochettino would likely need to spend big to land the 22-year-old, as he still has a number of years left on his contract at Sampdoria, so it remains to be seen if Spurs do splash out on a player where they already have several.
