Leicester City will be hoping that their recent results under Brendan Rodgers are a sign of things to come as they appear to be taking shape under the Northern Irishman.
The Foxes could still find themselves in Europe next season if they manage to enjoy a strong finish to the current campaign as Wolves aren’t too far out of reach at this moment in time. Although, the Midlands club still have to play the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea, so it certainly won’t be easy for Rodgers.
Nevertheless, it appears as if one of Leicester’s current stars is receiving high praise, as Daily Mail journalist Joe Bernstein has named James Maddison as his pick for young player of the year.
‘He’s an irritant and has a dive in his locker but the talent is obvious, and his confidence is impressive in a debut Premier League season.’
Leicester City fans will agree that Maddison has proved to be a genius signing and he’s more than repaid the club for the hefty fee that was paid to secure his services back in the summer. He’s produced an impressive six goals and six assists in the Premier League this season and he’s only 22 years of age, which makes it even more impressive.
The Foxes will be hoping that they can hold onto the attacking midfielder after witnessing his brilliance this season, but an approach from a big club could turn his head in the summer as he has all the makings to become a star on the international and European stage as well.
Nevertheless, Rodgers will look to build his side around the promising midfielder and fans could be in for a treat if Leicester manage to keep hold of him.
