Imagine the scenes at the John Smith’s Stadium if Jan Siewert manages to pull off the impossible to keep Huddersfield afloat in the Premier League. Indeed, fans have already warmed to the German despite not getting the results they wanted recently, so they’ll be looking forward to the future.
Of course, relegation to the Championship looks likely at this moment in time, so Siewert may already have his eye on bringing in reinforcements in the summer transfer window.
Sadly, dropping down into the Championship could mean that the Terriers lose a number of key players.
What’s the news?
It appears as if the Terriers may just lose one of their current stars in the summer, as according to The Mail on Sunday (via Examiner), Jonas Lossl is being linked with a move to Marseille and AS Monaco.
The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season.
Jonas Lossl is one of the last players that fans would want to see depart in the summer transfer window, as his efforts have been priceless this season. Indeed, the Denmark international has made a number of incredible saves for Huddersfield as one of their standout performers, so losing him would come as a huge blow.
Although, with a move to either Marseille or AS Monaco possibly in the offing, it’s safe to say that the Dane could be tempted to taking his career elsewhere, especially having played in France earlier on in his career.
Huddersfield Town fans, surely your club must do everything they can to keep him?
