Manchester City fans here in the Tavern are praying that their side can secure the Premier League title once again next season, but they will need to strengthen over the course of the summer transfer window.
The Citizens will be delighted with how their domestic season panned out, but they will want to seek major improvements in the Champions League. And, it looks as if Pep Guardiola is making moves on the transfer front, as according to the Mirror, Manchester City are considering making a move for Jean Michael Seri as a cheap alternative to Jorginho.
Sadly, Napoli are refusing to budge on their £60 million valuation of Jorginho, despite the midfielder’s desire to move to the Etihad.
So, Manchester City may be forced to switch their attentions to Ivory Coast midfielder Jean Michael Seri, who is available for £36 million, with Pep Guardiola seriously considering a move for him as an alternative to Napoli midfielder Jorginho.
Indeed, with City being told not to return for the Brazilian unless they’re willing to match Napoli’s £60 million evaluation, it looks as if Guardiola will now look to move for Jean Michael Seri.
So, it looks as if there is a late twist in Manchester City’s pursuit of Jorginho, with Jean Michael Seri now coming into the picture. This could be a smart move by Guardiola, with the Ivorian being available for a cheaper price and will be sure to replace his fellow countryman Yaya Toure.
