The Alvaro Morata deal has gone down well amongst the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, but many fans believe that there is more work to be done…
Whilst Morata does solve Chelsea’s striker issues somewhat, the influx of games that are on the horizon for the Blues next season mean that the club must ensure that squad depth is prioritised, and whilst Morata is a top signing, it looks likely that the Spaniard will lead the line with just one striker in tow next season – Michy Batshuayi.
As such, the Blues should really be looking to land a third option, and according to Chelsea journalist Dan Levene, they could do just that.
Levene has reported on Twitter that Fernando Llorente is a target for the Blues, stating that it ‘looks like’ he will move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Looks like Llorente may come in as a back-up.

Llorente would certainly be a good option for the Blues, and given his age, the Spaniard could well be willing to settle for a bit-part role at Stamford Bridge. He bagged a pretty remarkable 15 league goals last season, so he certainly still knows his way to the goal.
The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern would love to see this happen, with many touting an attacking trio of Michy Batsuayi, Alvaro Morata and Fernando Llorente as amongst the Premier League’s best attacking line-ups.
With Diego Costa still looking set to leave the club, it is an important time for Antonio Conte.
