Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking forward to what Unai Emery brings to the Gunners this summer, however, one man could depart with the latest transfer rumours doing the rounds.
The Spaniard is keen to make his mark at the Emirates Stadium following his arrival and has already been busy in the transfer market, identifying a number of signings he feels would help improve his squad.
The former Paris Saint-Germain manager will be aiming to get the club back into the Champions League before looking at becoming a Premier League title challenger and has been looking at midfield additions.
Interesting that Arsenal are trying to sign Fellaini – also showing interest in N'Zonzi and Doucoure.
Am told there may not be room for Elneny once Emery reshapes the midfield
— Dean Jones (@DeanJonesBR) June 4, 2018
According to Dean Jones, who is a football insider for Bleacher Report, he has been told that there could be no room for Mohamed Elneny in the team, should the likes of Marouane Fellaini and Stephen N’Zonzi be brought in.
It would seem strange if Elneny did not have a future at Arsenal as he has only just recently signed a new contract and has been handed the number 4 shirt. However, it must be added that the Egypt international did agree to a new deal in March, a long time before Emery became the new boss at the Emirates.
Many of the locals are happy with how the 25-year-old has played for the Gunners during his time with the club, with plenty knowing that he has proven to be a good squad player, but if they were to bring in some talented acquisitions this summer, then he may have to move on.
