Juan Mata arrival won’t mean Manchester United star departs

reu_kakawgMetro have a story that the majority of punters here in the Football Transfer Tavern are a little bit dubious about if we are being entirely honest.

The publication claims that Manchester United’s Shinji Kagawa will be staying at the club, despite not featuring regularly under David Moyes and clearly not being at the forefront of the manager’s plans.

The former Dortmund star has faltered since leaving the Bundesliga giants and joining United and now after rumours of a January move heightened, his agent, Thomas Kroth moved to calm the speculation, claiming: “At this moment I am sure Shinji will stay. There has been no contact and so it is just rumours.”

He also spoke about the arrival of former Chelsea star Juan Mata, and addressed the claims that the signing would make it even more difficult for his 24-year-old client to get into the side, but still rubbished exit talk noting: “No, it is my opinion that he will stay.”

Kagawa is not the only player linked with a move away from Old Trafford with Nani and indeed half the back four looking like they are well on their way towards the exit door. Even Mexican forward Javier Hernandez has reportedly asked to leave.

Will the arrival of Juan Mata mean that Kagawa completes a last gasp move back to Germany? Let us know your thoughts below.
