Jurgen Klopp blocks potential move for outcast Liverpool striker due to cost of replacing him

It’s set to be a big season for Liverpool and manager Jurgen Klopp, who must start thinking about silverware as he enters a crunch spell in his Reds career.

Loved by many on Merseyside, the German has had quite the effect on the home support having signed on the dotted line but so far, the Reds have little to show in terms of silverware just yet.

Liverpool will want to be competing with some of the better teams in the division next season and bringing in some big players over the summer is of huge importance if they’re to keep pace with the likes of free-spending Manchester City.

But one man that won’t be leaving Anfield this summer is Daniel Sturridge, who Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly unwilling to sell due to the huge costs of replacing him.

The former Chelsea forward is well and truly out-of-favour at Anfield and talk of a move away from the club this summer have been rife.

But according to the Mirror, Klopp isn’t keen on letting the striker leave the club at all this summer because he’s simply too expensive to replace.

According to the outlet, a move to either PSG or West Ham United had been touted, but neither club have yet made a move for his services.

Liverpool fans- what do you make of Sturridge- will you be happy to see him stay? Leave your thoughts down below!
