Jurgen Klopp could have goalkeeper headache this summer

Liverpool got their Premier League campaign underway with an impressive 4-0 victory against West Ham United, however, Jurgen Klopp could still have a headache this summer.

With the transfer window across the rest of Europe still open, clubs are still expected to raid those in England’s top-flight and it appears the Anfield outfit could have a choice to make when it comes to letting one man go.

According to a report in The Sun, Besiktas are considering to make a loan move for Loris Karius, whilst Simon Mignolet is wanted by Napoli.

The Turkish outfit were once interested in the Belgium international, however, they were not able to meet the demands Liverpool had for him and have now decided to turn their attention to the German instead.

Karius has failed to recover from his howler’s in the Champions League final, and with Alisson taking over the number one spot, his future at Anfield looks unlikely.

The Verdict:

Liverpool will have a decision to make this summer about which goalkeeper to let go.

It would be thought that they could only let one depart this summer, following the departure of Danny Ward to Leicester City earlier in the transfer window, however, they will need to choose which one to go.

Kauris would appear the more likely to leave following his clangers, although Mignolet is another that has not been without fault and could be looking to push through a move to restart his own career elsewhere.
