Liverpool are flying high at the top of the Premier League table and they will want to keep that going when they meet West Ham United on Monday night.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will also meet Bayern Munich in the Champions League later this month, however, the Anfield boss has admitted one of his key men could be a doubt for the tie.
Joe Gomez has been unavailable for the Premier League leaders since the beginning of December when he fractured his lower leg.
“No, both not [available],” he told the club’s official website when asked about Gomez [and Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of the West Ham encounter]
“[There’s] no return date for Joe.”
When asked whether he felt the England international would be in contention to feature against the Bundesliga powerhouses, he said: “No, I don’t think so.”
The possibility that Gomez will not be available for Liverpool when they face Bayern Munich in the middle of February will come as a huge blow to the club.
The defender had been a key member of the side and had built a solid partnership with Virgil van Dijk in the middle of the back line.
If he does remain unavailable by the time the game comes around, Liverpool will be hoping they do not suffer any other injuries to their defence ahead of the meeting.
