Liverpool managed to get a last-gasp winner against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night as they start their Champions League campaign in positive fashion.
The Reds had initially taken a two-goal lead inside the first 35 minutes when both Daniel Sturridge and James Milner fired home before Thomas Meunier reduced the deficit just before the half-time whistle.
The Anfield outfit were in for a tense final five minutes when Kylian Mbappe brought the two sides level, however, Roberto Firmino managed to get Jurgen Klopp’s side all three points at the death.
And, according to Ben Dinnery, the German was particularly impressed with the way Sturridge had performed on the night.
Klopp "Daniel [Sturridge] played a super game. I have never seen him as fit as he is in the moment. He was everywhere. He helped left / right and he was in the box when he was needed. Then you can bring Firmino on and that helps a lot. I loved his goal celebration." #LFC pic.twitter.com/9ZDVbRKLWr

The freelance injury data analyst also stated that Klopp had never seen the former Manchester City and Chelsea forward as fit as he has been.
Sturridge has had a difficult time trying to get back to his best after a number of injury concerns have blighted his career.
During the time he has been at Liverpool, he has missed 99 matches through a number of problems, as per Transfermarkt.
However, he showed what he can do on the pitch for the Reds on Tuesday evening and Klopp will be delighted that the forward is looking fitter than he ever has before.
