Jurgen Klopp prepared to let Loris Karius leave

Jurgen Klopp is ready to let one of his player’s end his Liverpool nightmare this summer.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, the Anfield boss is prepared to allow Loris Karius to depart after Besiktas made an approach for the goalkeeper.

The German has had a troubled time at the Merseyside outfit, having been in and out of the side at times in the season before suffering a horror show in the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

He was then replaced by Alisson this summer and now it appears he will be allowed to restart his career elsewhere.

It is understood that Besiktas have already opened talks with Liverpool about taking the 25-year-old on an initial loan deal that could then be turned into a permanent switch next summer.

However, it is also believed that Klopp will sanction a move for Karius if it suits Liverpool, otherwise he could remain at Anfield and be an understudy to Alisson.

The Verdict:

Karius will want to move on quickly from his Liverpool nightmare this summer and a move to Turkey be what’s needed.

Besiktas will be a great challenge for the German as they would certainly provide him with the chance to resurrect his career and, depending on how they navigate a Partizan Belgrade challenge, they could be playing Europa League football.

A deal would make sense, with Simon Mignolet still at the club, however, it remains to be seen if Liverpool will allow him to leave on loan, or if they will want him offloaded on a permanent basis.
