Liverpool will not have enjoyed the latest round of international fixtures as they prepare to return to Premier League action.
The Reds have seen a number of their first-team stars pick up injuries whilst on duty with their respective nations, leaving Jurgen Klopp with some concerns.
Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita have all suffered concerning knocks, however, the manager has remained positive about the situation as they prepare to face Huddersfield Town at the weekend.
“One-and-a-half weeks ago everybody was quite happy or satisfied with the situation; one-and-a-half weeks later, we miss a few players. That’s the situation, we cannot change it,” he said.
“At the end, there will be a really strong side wearing a Liverpool shirt going to Huddersfield and then we will see what we can get there.
“I understand that you all want to know it but I never get any information on injuries from other teams! So why should we give it out there to the world?
“We will try really hard that everybody is available at the weekend; we will probably fail with one or two but we will try everything that they will be on the pitch or available at least. Until then, you have to wait.”
It is no secret that Klopp and Liverpool will have been frustrated by the news of their star players picking up untimely knocks over the international break.
However, the manager has remained positive about the situation and has revealed that he will still field a strong side for the trip to Yorkshire on Saturday evening, with the possibility of some of them returning to the team.
The Anfield outfit certainly have the squad to be able to cope with the absence of some of their stars, and they will be looking for the three points to continue their charge to the Premier League title.
