Liverpool have spent heavily to arm Jurgen Klopp with a squad capable of beating Manchester City to the title this season.

With Naby Keita, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri, and Alisson, Liverpool now have one of the best squads in Europe and one capable of taking the Premier League title to Liverpool.

As a consequence of their £163.98 million spend in the summer, the Merseyside club are now looking to sell some of their players as they look to recoup some of their financial outlay.

The club managed to get rid of Danny Ings on deadline day, and although the transfer window has now closed, foreign clubs can still buy players in England.

The Liverpool Echo is now reporting that Liverpool goalkeeper, Simon Mignolet is attracting interest from Serie A club, Napoli.

According to the report, Mignolet remains keen on a move to Napoli and Liverpool are holding out for a £12 million fee.

The Breakdown

With Alisson as the first-choice ‘keeper, both Mignolet and Loris Karius remain as the two options for the reserve spot for Liverpool.

The two goalkeepers are in a certain stage of flux, both are in a stage of their respective careers where they need to be playing but aren’t good enough to start for Liverpool.

With Karius on the bench for their game against West Ham, it seems Mignolet is at the bottom of Klopp’s list.

Although the Belgian goalie has never been outstanding, he would be a much better option than Karius. He has the crucial experience in the league and in reality, is a more steady and reliable pair of hands.
