Juve Bid Means €6M Loss But Abramovich Is Building, Not Quibbling Over Pennies.

Jose Bosingwa could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge as long time admirers Juventus are ready to make a move. Interest has been mounting in the 28 year old with Bayern attempting to sign him back in 2009 but Chelsea held firm and he remained in London.

The attacking right back has been a consistent performer for the Blues and has clocked up over 60 appearances. He is a fast, skilful player who loves pushing forward which can be as much a help as a hindrance at times as he can get caught out up-field.

With Abramovich reportedly planning a summer exodus with League form decaying Bosingwa appears to be seen as dispensable to the glee of Juventus. With Ivanovich finding himself regularly deployed at right back due to the arrival of Ruiz, it would seem Bosingwa’s opportunities at Chelsea are minimal.

Even though he was bought for £16 million I don’t expect Abramovich will be perturbed about the £6 million loss the move would entail. Bosingwa provides good cover at right back but Ivanovich is equally adept at full back and has been preferred in recent seasons.

The Portuguese international would be a good signing for Juventus as they look to climb into the Champions League places. His pace would be a constant threat for the Italian defences as they have been for Premier League sides.
With Chelsea looking to raise some funds in order to go after big name signings such as Pato and Kaka, Bosingwa could be one of the first casualties of Abramovich’s summer overhaul.
