Chelsea had looked to bring Pazzini in as Didier Drogba left for the African Cup of Nations but Italian paper Tuttosport claim Juve, who lost 3-0 to AC Milan last night in Turin, will try and sign Pazzini, who is considered the future of Italian football, from Sampdoria.
Pazzini has been blazing a trail in Italy over the past 12 months having closed last term with 11 goals and grabbed 8 this season with a record that equates to roughly a goal every 2 games. He would be an ideal signing for Juventus who have seen David Trezeguet ruled out for 2 months with an ankle injury whilst starlet Sebastian Giovinco is likely to be sidlined for 30 days.
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has recently cooled his interest in the Sampdoria forward leaving the door open for Juventus manager Ciro Ferrara to sign the frontman who Tuttojuve.com claim Juve scout scout Renzo Castagnini has been in Genoa watching. Sampdoria would preferred any deal for Pazzini to take place in the summer having insisted that no deal will take place this January but with Juve in free fall it is thought that will move to bring the Italian international in now.
