Liverpool are thought to still be maintaining an interest in a player that was once linked with a move to the club in the summer.
According to a report by Turkish-Football, Kerim Demirbay is still on the Anfield outfit’s radar as the Premier League giants remain in contact with the player’s representatives.
Interestingly, the Germany international is a client of Arena11 Agency, who have Naby Keita and Sadio Mane already on their books.
Demirbay has only recently signed a new deal to remain at Hoffenheim, however, he has struggled to make his way into the first-team, having only just been given his chance once again to break through.
Jurgen Klopp has worked with the 25-year-old previously, when the pair were both at Borussia Dortmund together, something he could look to use to his advantage.
Demirbay is a playmaker that could give Liverpool the added creativity that they need to move up to the next level.
The 25-year-old, who has one assist from his four appearances so far, has struggled to get regular game-time for Hoffenheim recently, although that may be down to the fact that he has recently returned from a lengthy long-term injury.
Klopp could look to use their previous relationship to his advantage to bring the player to Anfield, added with the partnership Liverpool have with the Arena11 Agency, however, it remains to be seen if the Bundesliga outfit will be willing to sell him.
