Key Mourinho target ‘dreams’ of Premier League move

The Manchester United fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are keen to see manager Jose Mourinho land a few more signings with things having gone quiet after the announcement of Swedish defender Victor Lindelof.

With that in mind, they will be pleased to hear that one of Mourinho’s supposed targets will have set alarm bells ringing at Old Trafford.

Speaking to Direct TV Uruguay (via AS), Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez, who has been linked with a move to United, has made it clear that he would be keen on a move to the Premier League.

“I dream of playing in the Premier League,” said the 22-year-old.

“Because the matches are very even. I would like to  go, but if Atletico makes me a contract for life I will stay.”

Our landlord has assured punters who are concerned by that last line that should Mourinho make a move it seems very clear that the Uruguay international would be on his way to Old Trafford.

Mourinho has been keen to bolster his defence ever since arriving in Manchester, having brought in both Lindelof and Eric Bailly since his appointment last summer. Despite the fact that the Swede has already arrived from Benfica, more additions are expected at the back from those gathered in the Tavern.
