Liverpool have had a fantastic start to the season, but they fell short against PSG on Wednesday. The Reds went to Paris with high hopes, but Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and all of PSG's other stars had other ideas.

It wasn't a poor performance by any means, but it's fair to say that Jurgen Klopp's men have a long way to go before they can consider themselves one of Europe's truly elite teams, despite their path to the Champions League final last season.

The game also proved something else, too, and that was that Jordan Henderson is a player that continues to blow hot and cold. On his day, he's brilliant, but he simply doesn't offer enough in the biggest games, with poor decision making and general ability proving to be problematic for the Englishman.

Significantly, he's suspended for Liverpool's game with Everton on Sunday, and so Jurgen Klopp will have to think about who should come on in his place.

The Merseyside derby is always hotly contested, and only the best players will be able to make an impact. So, perhaps, Jurgen Klopp should replace Henderson with someone more technically gifted - and he should instead opt for Fabinho.

Fabinho offers far more defensive control, and given the strength of the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson and Richarlison, that's an important trait to have. Not to mention, he's also a brilliant passer, and he's just generally more solid through the midfield.

The Reds would miss Henderson's energy and agility, but Fabinho offers plenty of quality that could help to control the Everton attack - and that could help Jurgen Klopp's men avoid another poor defensive showing.

They'll lose leadership, of course, but they've got plenty of that elsewhere, and Fabinho's quality would simply be more important on the day.
