Liverpool fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are desperate to hear some good news regarding the club’s summer business after a week which forced them to drown their sorrows more often than not.
The week started with the Reds looking as if an announcement involving Virgil van Dijk holding a Liverpool shirt was imminent, however, ended with the club releasing an embarrassing statement ending their interest in the Southampton captain after allegations of tapping up.
