‘Klopp out’, ‘He’s got to go’ – Liverpool fans call for change on Twitter after shock FA Cup exit

The Liverpool fans were absolutely distraught in the Transfer tavern this weekend after their hopes of lifting silverware this season were dealt a decisive blow against West Bromwich Albion at Anfield.

It looked as if Liverpool would meet the pre-match expectations and comfortably secure their place in the 5th round of the FA Cup when Roberto Firmino gave his side side an early lead after just 6 minutes on Saturday evening, but that presumption proved to be far from the case.

Jay Rodriguez was the star of the show for Alan Pardew’s travelling Baggies as they raced into a 3-1 lead at half-time courtesy of a Rodriguez brace and an own goal from Joel Matip. In the aftermath of proceedings, the Liverpool supporters were naturally frustrated to exit the competition at such an early stage against a relegation-threatened side.

Of course, the level of frustration varied, but one supporter who was particularly disillusioned voiced his thoughts on BBC 5 live Sport and called for Liverpool to sack Jurgen Klopp.

The supporters comments have stirred up a debate on Twitter concerning Liverpool’s consistently inconsistent form under the German manager, and his comments brought a handful of fans out of the woodwork to slate Klopp and call for his dismissal.

That opinion is certainly not shared by the majority of supporters, but if Liverpool continue to disappoint their supporters with results like the one they recorded on Saturday it may not be too long before the tide takes a turn against Klopp on Merseyside.

Here’s what some of The Reds faithful had to say about Klopp in the aftermath of their FA Cup 4th round defeat…
