Liverpool fans here in the Transfer tavern have become an excited bunch today after reports emerged suggesting that long-term transfer target Simon Kjaer could become available for just £10million.
According to Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik, Fenerbahce are willing to accept offers that match their valuation of £10million for the player, as they look to overhaul their squad this summer.
It’s good news for our Reds-obssesed barman, who is keen for Klopp to bring in defensive cover this summer following some of the slightly shaky performances we’ve seen from Ragnar Klavan and Joel Matip this season.
Kjaer’s agent has also recieved offers from other clubs across Europe for his client but with Liverpool thought to be long-term admirers of the player, could it be the Reds where we see the Danish international playing at next season?
But having rebuffed Anfield in the past, should Liverpool be holding out a move for a player that has rejected them in the past?
Liverpool fans- do more defensive reinforcements need to be brought in this summer? Is Kjaer the answer? Leave your thoughts down below!
