The Liverpool fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are still waiting for things to get going in terms of business at Anfield this summer.
It seems, after the debacle surrounding Southampton captain Virgil van Djik and his non-move to Merseyside, that the process is slowly getting into gear as manager Jurgen Klopp looks to free up funds to begin his work.
According to reports from The Times, the former Borussia Dortmund boss is looking to axe three members of his first team in order to raise around £62m.
As per the report, Klopp is looking to sell of Serbian winger Lazar Markovic, with his temporary boss at Hull Marco Silva now looking to bring him to Watford.
However, the Reds still value their man at £20m, whilst they are looking to land a further £12m from the sale of left-back Alberto Moreno, having failed to impress in the early stages of the season.
Finally, having put on a good display while on loan with Crystal Palace at the end of last season, the powers that be at Anfield are looking to get £30m for defender Mahmadou Sakho.
Whatever happens, it is looking set to be a very busy summer at Anfield.
Reds fans, what do you think? Will Klopp be able to get such fees for those three? Let us know in the comments below…
