Liverpool and manager Jurgen Klopp are under serious pressure to challenge for the title this season, especially considering the troubles the Reds have faced over the past couple of years.
Despite remaining a popular figure amongst the Reds fans lining the bar here in the pub, Klopp must now know that bringing silverware to Anfield is what matters most.
And he has the chance to do that in the Champions League too this season, with the Reds having qualified for the competition having finished fourth last time out.
He’s got a little bit of improving to still do before the transfer window slams shut at the end of the month too, with some of his rivals bringing in some seriously big players as they attempt to better their chances of winning the Premier League title.
But one man that won’t be moving to Anfield is Borussia Dortmund youngster Emre Mor, with the player’s agent confirming to AreaNapoli that a move to Inter Milan is in place.
“We have reached an agreement with Inter,” Muzzi Ozcan told AreaNapoli.it.
“The truth on the rumours linking him with Napoli is that the club simply wasn’t interested.”
Liverpool’s city rivals Everton were also thought to be interested in a move for the player but a move to Italy is now looking closer than ever.
Liverpool still have quite a bit of work to do when it comes to improving their ranks for the season ahead.
They’ve made some quality additions so far but Jurgen Klopp is lacking the pulling power Liverpool might’ve once had when they were doing extremely well in the Champions League.
It’s important they do well this season to get that back.
