‘Koeman to Barca imminent’ – Everton fans react after boss posts worrying image

Southampton fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern have been warning their Everton counterparts in the bar all season long over manager Ronald Koeman and his tendency to jump-ship.

It would seem that the Saints fans in the corner still haven’t recovered completely from Koeman’s decision to leave for Merseyside despite having a year left on his contract.

The former Barcelona defender was linked with the vacant managerial post at his former club earlier this season until the Catalan club appointed Ernesto Valverde a few weeks ago.

The appointment, however, hasn’t stopped some fans getting worried after the Dutchman, who won four league titles, a Copa Del Rey and one European Cup with the club before going onto work as an assistant at the Nou Camp in 2000, posted a picture of him visiting the famous old ground.

While the Toffees boss was only visiting the Wembley 25 exhibit, marking the 1992 European Cup win at Wembley Stadium in which Koeman scored the only goal against Sampdoria, fans in the blue half of Merseyside still managed to get worked up…

Whilst some fans were hoping that Koeman would conduct some business whilst back in Spain…
