Kondogbia links aren’t doing much to excite Spurs fans

You would think that at this stage of the transfer window Spurs fans would take anything they can get. The club are yet to see ay significant incomings or outgoings unless you count Keanan Bennett’s move to Borussia Monchengladbach. However, according to France Football, via get French FootballTottenham are leading the race to sign Geoffrey Kondogbia from Valencia.

It’s not a secret that the Lillywhites need a central midfielder to cover them this season. Victor Wanyama is crocked with another injury whilst Harry Winks hasn’t played in a long time. That only leaves Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele, who are both going to be lacking in preparation after making it to the World Cup semi-finals with Belgium and England. This leaves Mauricio Pochettino needing a new midfielder and Kondogbia could be that man.

The 27-year-old Frenchman has been at Valencia for just one season, having spent the 2017/18 season on-loan before making that move a permanent one just one month ago. Now, though, he could be set for yet another move as Tottenham have opened talks for the midfielder. In his career, the ex-Inter Milan commander has won the U20 World Cup with France and he’ll be hoping to add to his trophy cabinet with Mauricio Pochettino and co.
