Jose Mourinho rarely fails to get what he wants which will frighten quite a few Spurs fans. The Mirror has reported that the Real Madrid manager has put aside £16.5 million in order to purchase Tottenham Hotspur’s Kyle Walker in the forthcoming transfer window.
The Mirror reported that Mourinho has decided the former Liverpool defender, Alvaro Arbeloa, is too unreliable when playing, due to his slow speed and small physique. This is a quality which Kyle Walker evidently possesses with his lightning-quick pace being a main reason for his tremendous success throughout his short career.
Arbeloa has only played 19 games out of the possible 30, which contrasts to Walker’s 30 Premier League appearances out of a possible 31. However, even though Real Madrid have lost only 2 games this La Liga campaign, Arbeloa was not used in these games, and instead only earned a place on the bench. Similarly, the only game where Walker was not on the team sheet was the infamous 5-1 home defeat Spurs suffered at the hands of Manchester City. Yet, even with Kyle Walker in the team Spurs have lost 6 games this season.
But, with Mourhino allegedly looking to leave Madrid at the end of this season, and even being 10/1 to be the new Tottenham manager if Redknapp does leave, it seems very unlikely that Walker will leave his starting eleven spot for a move to Real Madrid.
Do you think Walker will leave for Madrid in the summer? Leave your thoughts below.
