Manchester City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking forward to tonight’s match against local rivals United as they attempt to keep pace with Chelsea and Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.
Adrian Kajumba from the Daily Star has arrived in tavern with some intriguing reports about one of City’s stars as he claims that Real Madrid are lining up a shock £25 million move for Joe Hart.
The England international, 26, has been eyed up by Real manager Carlo Ancelotti as he looks for a decent replacement for Madrid icon Iker Casillas.
Casillas has been usurped by Diego Lopez and that could see him departing the Bernabeu with the former Shrewsbury Town keeper reportedly in their sights.
Kajumba explains that Hart has the same agent as Gareth Bale, who joined Real in a £86 million deal during the summer.
It wasn’t that long ago when Hart was dropped by Citizens boss Manuel Pellegrini after a series of clangers, but he’s performed well since making his return and is set to star for England at the upcoming World Cup.
Hart apparently feels his treatment by the Chilean was unfair and we think that any genuine interest from Madrid could turn his head towards a transfer to Spain.
