Arsenal made it two wins in two weeks as they beat Cardiff City 3-2 in what was at times a very tough match for the Gunners.

Against a typical Neil Warnock side, Arsenal were made to work defensively and were put under pressure when trying to play out the back. They may not have tonnes of quality but Cardiff's midfield made it hard for Arsenal at times.

Going forward Arsenal were much better with Alexandre Lacazette the standout player on the pitch.

The Frenchman was given his first start under Unai Emery and it was clear for all to see that he should've played more this season.

Following the win, Unai Emery spoke of the increasing minutes the two are playing but didn't confirm if the two would start again in the future.

The Breakdown

Emery is still working out what his best formation, and who is best XI are but one of the Spaniard's early mistakes in his Arsenal tenure has been refusing to start Lacazette with Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.

Arsenal failed to bring in any winger over the summer and therefore lack pace on the wing, Aubameyang provides that albeit it's not his best position.

He may not have the pace of Aubameyang but Lacazette's hold up play, defensive work and ability bring other into attack suits Arsenal's style perfectly as demonstrated by his assist and goal.

Emery must start the two together going forward. With Lacazette not starting, Arsenal just lose too much.
