While it is perhaps a cynical stance to take, the vast array of attacking talent on offer in the Premier League has often been of interest to the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Though the Spanish juggernauts’ previously all-conquering power in the transfer market diminished somewhat after Paul Pogba’s move to Manchester United, there’s little doubt the La Liga giants remain the cream of European football.
Throughout the years, the likes of Luis Suarez, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo have departed the Premier League in order to link up with either the Blaugrana and Los Blancos.
So, with that in mind, who could be next?
Erik Lamela, Philippe Coutinho and Alexis Sanchez seem like the most obvious candidates, should the Euro giants once again try and make a statement signing.
Clearly, Sanchez has had a spell in Spain before, though his contract situation could be a cause of concern for the Gunners.
Meanwhile, both Spurs and Liverpool have a history of selling their prized assets to La Liga.
Playing devil’s advocate, who would you say is the most likely to be the next Galactico?
