Bournemouth fans in the Transfer Tavern will be buzzing with the latest transfer news linking the Cherries with one of the most highly sought-after youngsters in the country.
Transfer speculation has already begun, with reports in the Sun linking Bournemouth with a move for Celtic youngster – Kieran Tierney. The 20-year-old lifted the Scottish Premiership title at the weekend as Celtic crushed rivals Rangers 5-0 at the weekend and would be a seriously exciting addition at the Vitality.
Tierney has emerged as one of Scotland’s brightest prospects and has made 29 appearances for the Hoops, scoring three goals. His performances have reportedly attracted the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs including Manchester United and Tottenham.
Now Bournemouth have reportedly entered the race for his signature with a £20m move being readied by Eddie Howe who believes the offer of first-team football on the south coast could be key to landing his signature.
Valued at £4.5m by Transfermarkt, Tierney would be a key player at the Vitality Stadium but Bournemouth would be unlikely to keep him for long should his impressive performances continue. Nevertheless, the Cherries would be able to secure a huge transfer fee from one of the Premier League giants in the future.
The move makes complete sense for Howe’s men – they would gain a valuable first-team player and potentially gather a huge windfall in the future if he does decide to move on later in his career.
Bournemouth fans, could you beat the Premier League giants to the signing of Tierney? Let us know!
