Landing exciting Championship talent would surely be enough to keep Huddersfield up this season

Huddersfield enjoyed one of the most successful years in the history of the club last season, defeating Reading FC in the playoff final at Wembley to secure a first promotion to the Premier League in its modern format.

A wonderful achievement by boss David Wagner, in his first season at the club, the former Borussia Dortmund II boss attained legendary status through his remarkable achievement, and is on course to keep the Terriers in the top-flight after many had tipped them for an instant return to the second-tier. Fans of the West Yorkshire side sang long into the night here at The Transfer Tavern after the famous win at Wembley, and continue to celebrate every Premier League point like a cup final victory.

Our landlord caught up with fans over a game of darts, with Terriers fans keen to see Wagner utilise his budget this month in the transfer window to ensure the club retain their top-flight status for another season. Adding more goals to the squad was a key topic highlighted, and with big-money summer signing Tom Ince failing to deliver the goals from out wide, our landlord couldn’t help but recommend a move for Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen.

The 21-year-old has excelled with the Tigers since making the switch to the KCOM Stadium from Hereford United in 2014, and already has a remarkable eleven league goals to his name this season from the wing. The player could be keen to move this month given his current club’s struggles towards the bottom of the Championship table, with Huddersfield an ideal destination for the player. Bowen looks ready for Premier League football, and Wagner would be mad not to explore a deal for the player this month.

Terriers fans, would a move for Bowen appeal to you this month? Let us know!
